By popular demand we have redesigned the original Model 128 “Decon Shelter”.
The 128 and 128-C Models are intended as “entry level” Decon Shelters and do not offer the custom options and large floor space found in our Models 150 and up. The frame style and size are the same on both units, however, the canopy on the Model 128-C is mounted on the exterior and is not “field” replaceable. This external canopy design offers significant better weather resistance than Shelters with “hanging” canopies.
These models are “stock” items and unlike our other Shelters we do not customize the 128 series Shelters.

Airframe Fabric
The airframe fabric has an oxford weave rip-stop (6 oz./square yard) base which is then liquid coated on both sides with synthetic, chemical resistant Neoprene Rubber. Total fabric weight is 17 ounce per square yard. It has been used for life rafts for over 35 years and meets or exceeds Military and US Coast Guard standards such as Mil-C-17415-16AA.
Canopy Fabric
The canopy fabric is designed to be light weight and easy to decontaminate. The fabric consists of a 4-mil Polyurethane film which is laminated to a 3.5 oz./square yard Nylon. The fabric is strong, mildew and fire resistant. The exterior Nylon has a water repellent coating and UV inhibitors. The interior urethane film is white to enhance light reflection while the exterior Nylon fabric is orange for the Model 128 and White for the Model 128-C. Any interior compartments and shower stalls are made with the white fabric.
Floor Fabric
The floor fabric is a black, 40 oz./square yard Vinyl. The fabric is nylon reinforced and treated for mildew and UV resistance. Experience has shown that this fabric is ideal for floor material and has excellent wear resistance.
