Learning Objectives:

The “No Room for Error” training program is designed to educate the workers who are required to work in and/or around confined spaces, as to the hazards associated with confined spaces and the need to practice safe work procedures.

Introduction:

Confined spaces are among the most difficult and dangerous places to work within the workplace. Statistics have shown that a worker is 140 times more likely to be killed while working in a confined space that any other workplace application. A more staggering statistic is that for every worker that dies in a confined space incident, nearly 2 rescuers die trying to save him.

Hamisco Industrial Sales Inc. training instructors are highly trained professional rescuers who offer training to the same degree and standards of that of professional rescue teams. We have trained with some of the world’s best, Canadian and United States Urban Search and Rescue Teams (USAR) and we conducted search, rescue and recovery operations from confined spaces.

Hamisco recognized the need to provide workers with competent training in confined space entry and rescue, and developed a confined space “awareness-level” training program called “No Room for Error”

The Program:

The “No Room for Error” program is an accredited course with the Water Wastewater Operator Certification System (WWOCS) and involves both classroom and practical training applications where students get the opportunity to practice the skills they learn in the classroom in the safe working environment. Hamisco training is based on the “Keep it Simple” principle.

Program Length – 7 hours – 8:00 am – 3:00 PM
Course Fees – $225.00 + HST

Student Evaluation

The Hamisco Industrial Sales Inc. instructor is a certified Trainer/Facilitator with the Ontario Fire College and has been trained to recognize the different learning styles of the students. Students are taught using power point presentations, lectures and practical hands-on methods of instruction. Each student is provided with a copy of the Hamisco Confined Space Training participant’s manual, which is used to conduct an open book written test. This written test requires the student to find the answers to the questions in the manual, ensuring they have read the necessary materials.

Course Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the course students are awarded “Certificates of Completion” and are accredited 0.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in accordance to the Water Wastewater Operator Certification System.
